Choosing a sample replaces the current class and stat inputs and clears the optional selected weapon, but does not overwrite a locally saved build. Any pinned A/B comparison stays available.
For the minimum-level class for a target spread, use the starting class optimizer. To examine additional rune costs between any two levels, use the level-up rune cost calculator and chart. These examples are calculations, not verified character damage or equipment recommendations.
Optional weapon reference
Link a real weapon to this build for a requirements check and its individually reported weight. Community data is not game-verified for the current patch. This is not an AR or total equip-load calculator.
Reference AR opens in a separate tool with this weapon name and your five combat attributes. You must explicitly load the pinned public v1.17 data there, confirm the weapon is supported, and choose affinity and reinforcement. No game-client Regulation 1.17.3 guarantee is implied.
Smithing shortlist for this Build
Add up to 8 different weapons from the local source catalog. Then open the combined Smithing Stone planner to enter the actual upgrade track and current/target levels for each. No reinforcement level or weapon AR is inferred. This shortlist is temporary and is NOT included in saved Build stats.
Can this Build wield these weapons?
Each shortlist item is evaluated separately using the same character's current stats. Two-handing is a category-limited Strength assumption, not evidence that all listed weapons can be equipped at once. Weapon weights are individual reference weights, NOT your combined equipment load.

* Two-hand STR bonus is only assumed for weapon types supported by this reference rule. Other requirements do not get a bonus. † Unknown weight remains unknown. If any requirement is missing or disputed, automatic stat application is disabled. Current character levels and rune costs are local formulas; this is not a respec-cost estimate or verified combat simulator.
This link only carries candidate source IDs. You must deliberately select actual equipped weapon slots on the Equip Load page. Shortlisting does not imply any weapon is carried or equipped.
Saving is optional and stays in this browser. Shared URLs contain chosen stats and equipment and may be visible to the hosting provider when opened; share only what you intend. Shared links include your origin, stats, optional weapon ID and explicit extra-content settings. Unavailable weapons and outdated IDs are rejected rather than substituted.
Export or import a Build JSON file
Move this character draft between browsers without an account. JSON includes starting class, eight allocated stats, selected optional community weapon ID, independent content switches, and your informational target RL. It does not include armor, equipped slots, talismans, spells, Smithing shortlist, A/B comparison, rune inventory, or other game saves.
No file selected. Imports replace the current character editor and target level only after full validation. Temporary weapon shortlist and pinned A/B comparison are cleared; saved local Builds are untouched. No file is uploaded or stored.
Exact scope: optional weapon IDs must still exist in the current local catalog. Your chosen extra-content flags are transferred, but ownership is not checked. These files are unverified player drafts, not game save files or certified current-patch equipment calculations. Never import files from unknown senders unless you trust the source.
One-file backup · character + equipped slots
Want to move your complete character draft AND manually configured equipment together? Open the equipment planner below and enter the actual slots first. This combines both existing local modules into ONE versioned JSON file, without a game account or upload.
No file selected. A single successful import updates the character fields and all 6 weapon slots, 4 armor pieces, 4 talismans, 10 spell slots, 2 tears, Great Rune name and manually entered maximum load. Invalid files are rejected without replacing either part.
Scope and limitations: this is a user-entered planning backup, not a game save or certified item data. It does not export the temporary Smithing shortlist, pinned A/B Build, rune inventory, saved local drafts, loaded external armor roster, real-game combat results, or Rune/Physick activation switches. Reopened community armor weights are still source-dependent and may be shown as unknown until you separately load that reference. The selected content flags are preferences, not proof of DLC ownership. Existing separate character-only and equipment-only JSON tools continue working.
How many stat points remain at level 125, 150 or 200?
Choose your character level target. This compares the actual selected starting class and all eight stat inputs to your target. It does not automatically assign attributes, award levels, equip gear or change saved/shareable builds.

The planner calculates the point difference from your actual starting class; these are future target-level points, not unspent points in your current game.
A build above the target needs a different, legal reallocation; this is not the Larval Tear or respec rune cost. See the class-by-class 125 / 150 / 200 budget table for a no-JavaScript reference.

Runtimes and rune budgets compare independently calculated character Builds, not respec expenses. Weapon requirements and individual weapon weights are community-reported; no weapon AR, enemy damage, armor total, buffs or complete loadout is simulated.
How levels are calculated
Once you set your attributes, use Find best starting class to compare origins for this exact build, or Plan rune costs to open the level calculator with your starting and target levels already filled in.
Your build starts at the selected origin’s minimum stats. Its current level is the origin’s starting level plus the number of increased attribute points. The tool rejects stats below that starting class minimum and values above 99.
Idus Knight and Heavy Knight are extra-content origins and remain hidden unless you explicitly enable Tarnished Pack. Shadow of the Erdtree is a separate expansion: its weapons have their own availability switch. The optional weapon section shows cited reference facts and requirement feasibility only, not simulated attack or complete equipped load.
How to plan an Elden Ring character without wasting levels
Start with your actual origin. Choose one of the ten original starting classes or explicitly enable the two Tarnished Pack origins. Minimum base attributes are locked: switching origins resets the local draft to the new class minimums.
Allocate all eight attributes. Each point above that origin's base values adds one character level; the resulting level and rune cost are calculated locally. Character attributes cannot exceed 99, and level cannot exceed 713.
Check your weapon constraints separately. Search an optional community-referenced weapon, inspect its five minimum attributes, and compare one-hand versus eligible two-hand Strength requirements. Unknown and disputed source fields stay labelled and never become exact combat claims.
Compare before committing. Pin Build A, edit Build B, then review the attribute delta, level delta and rune difference. If you want a real equipped-weight tier, open Equip Load and enter your actual in-game maximum and equipped weights instead of assuming all shortlisted weapons are equipped.
Share or save intentionally. Share links encode build choices in the URL; optional local saving stays in your browser and has an explicit delete control. Neither operation sends your save game or third-party regulation data to our servers.

Stat points available at Elden Ring levels 125, 150 and 200
How many stat points can you allocate when you build toward level 125 or 150? Each original class starts with a different base level and eight fixed starting attributes. The extra points available above that starting set at a future target equal target character level minus the starting class level. That is a level-point budget, not a recommended allocation or a refund of already spent points.

Example: Samurai level 150 versus Wretch level 150
Samurai begins at level 9 and therefore has 141 additional attribute points to allocate by level 150. Wretch begins at level 1 with ten in every stat and has 149 additional points by level 150. The eight-point difference does not make either class automatically superior: those classes start with different base stats, and you must compare their entire target builds.
How do I check if my current stat allocation fits level 150?
Use the interactive eight-stat editor above with the correct origin. The resulting level is the starting level plus each attribute increase above its class minimum. Set the budget target to 150; the calculator shows remaining or excess points without moving any attribute for you. If the build is over 150, use the Respec Planner to explore a same-level reallocation instead of treating it as a free level downgrade.
How many runes do I need to reach the remaining levels?
The difference in stat points equals the number of character levels still required only when the build is below target. Rune prices rise with level; do not multiply the next level's price by the number of missing points. The planner computes the full exact local rune range and links to the Rune Calculator with your current planned level and target. This table does not include Larval Tears, smithing expenses, rune loss or optional bonuses.
Scope: original ten classes only. Idus Knight and Heavy Knight are separate edition-dependent origins; the interactive planner allows them only after the extra-content switch is enabled. All rows use existing original starting class vectors and the deterministic character level arithmetic. No new public reference-site data, weapon AR or current-patch combat certification is claimed.
Method
Build Stats
A build planner helps you estimate level cost before reallocating stats. The Build Planner does not calculate weapon AR inline, actual enemy damage, spell scaling or buffs; its optional weapon lookup reports individual source facts. A separate reference AR tool is linked when a valid weapon is selected.
What can this Elden Ring stat calculator calculate?
The eight inputs are Vigor, Mind, Endurance, Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Faith and Arcane. Choose an origin and enter your target attributes to calculate the resulting character level, the number of points allocated above that origin, and the runes needed to level up from its starting level. These totals are computed locally from the class base and rune-level formula; changing a stat never silently changes the chosen origin.
Base HP, FP, stamina, equip load and defensive reference values are shown separately with their source and validation limitations. They are not guaranteed outcomes for every combination of equipment, buffs or a newer game patch. This is not a weapon attack-rating, boss-damage or spell-scaling calculator. To understand diminishing returns on individual attributes, consult the Elden Ring soft caps guide; to move points without leveling, use the same-level respec calculator; and to check weight and roll tiers, use the equip-load calculator.
Common questions
Frequently asked
Why is a build level higher than expected?
A class begins with its own level and minimum eight attributes. Values below its starting minimum are not valid; adding ten attribute points raises the resulting level by ten.
Can I share my build?
Yes. Copy the share URL containing the starting class and eight stat values. It contains no personal account information.
Build equipment / partial data with clear provenance
Six-hand-slot equipment and active-item plan
Configure all six weapon slots, head/chest/arms/legs, four talismans, up to ten spells, two Crystal Tears and one Great Rune. Weapon names and available weights come from the existing 487-record community catalog; every unknown or disputed weight blocks an exact equip-load claim. Other item names and weights must be entered from your own game menu. No passive, buff, resistances or spell AR are invented.
Weapons — six equipped slots
Armor — four equipped slots
Optional published community 568-entry armor reference: select names and autofill source-reported weights after your explicit click. This is a version-unknown reference, not current-game-certified data. No armor descriptions or images are copied. After opt-in, the Build equipment results display the four selected pieces' additive Poise/resistances and multiplicatively combined source negation, without claiming a complete character defense or active-effects simulation.
Armor reference not loaded; you may enter your own game values.
Talismans and carried active items
Spell slots (up to ten, text only)
An unspecified equipment name is an empty slot; a selected name with missing weight is unknown, not weight zero. Names of talismans, spells, tears and Great Runes are recorded without claiming their effects. The result does not apply passive weight-cap increases. You must enter your actual in-game maximum equip load, with any effects already included.

Worked example · eight attributes
How does your stat spread determine character level?
Suppose you choose the base-game Wretch, which starts at level 1 with 10 in every stat. Increase Vigor to 15 and Strength to 15, keeping the other six stats at 10. You have allocated 10 additional points, so the resulting character is level 11. You cannot lower an origin's starting values to recover extra points.
Before using a shared build link, check the selected class, all eight visible stats and any optional weapon reference. The equipment module distinguishes known item weights, user-entered weights and missing data; an unknown weight does not become zero. To compare the same final target across origins, use the Starting Class Optimizer. To calculate the rune cost for the levels, visit the Rune Calculator and level cost chart.
